4 years ago I had a diagnosis done for my right rearview mirror which was not working electronically. (it no longer folded down and the window no longer moved, no longer thawed, etc.) Results: the former BMW team from there. 4 years old wanted me to change my mirror, as well as the connection cable in the mirror door. Quote 550€. So I started looking for a mirror in a junkyard for around 150€ and a cable for 10 euros on ebay with the same reference. But first I test the right mirror by unplugging it and plugging it into the plug on the driver's side door. And to my great surprise, it works perfectly... With the door switch. Everything is OK. So I think it must be coming from the cable in the passenger side door. I order it on eBay and change it. Everything works, the right electric window, the sound system, but not the mirror... So it doesn't come from the cable either... So they wanted to make me change things that were working perfectly. But then what did they do when they looked for the fault? Either they had found the fault (like a small oxidized wire or something) and they said to themselves, ok we're going to make him pay for a retro and a cable even though they are good. Either they didn't find the problem and they told me to change it because they thought that would solve the problem. In both cases, I had not been satisfied with their service at the time. Fortunately the management has since changed. They are more concerned about a job well done and the quality of their services to their customers. Hoping that they will once again live up to the brand they represent.
